Logo animation for Ominous Films, an independent studio based out of the OC. This project was unique in that the pursuit of the initial storyboarded vision developed into two separate 3D model and 2D vector animations which were then carefully composited in After Effects.

The main goals were to capture the playful, colorful sentiments of the promo song when developing the overlaying animations and to match and occasionally accentuate the tone with the timing of the edits.

This project was a true labor of love being the culmination of so many songs and ideas that I had presonally preformed as a musician alongside some of my most highly-regarded peers. Closeness with the project presented some unique challenges that insighted the development of strategies to maintain perspective and keep the voice of the project at the forefront.

Early exposure to obscure and eclectic music spheres, countless hours burning CDs and living life to a soundtrack, the feelings insighted by Graffitti art, indie films, anime, and fashion magazines;
All of these things have subtley shaped my sensibilities and love for sound and design.
Whether approaching a mix, or developing a visual concept, I draw from experience as an enthusiast first, often embracing unconventional approaches to craft atmosphere and emotion across both sonic and visual spaces.
Much of my work involves translating between these realms, finding the visual rhythm in audio or the sonic quality in design, creating cohesive experiences that speak to both senses.
